August 22, 2009 Lubbock Texas Temple

Well folks, first I have to thank all our wonderful family and friends for all your love and support in our journey. On August 21 at 8 pm Chris went through the temple for the first time. Our Bishop was Chris's escort and they had an enjoyable time. We all went through the 8pm session together and met everyone in the Celestial room. What a wonderful experience to be in that beautiful room with my husband! It was great and Chris really enjoyed the whole experience.

On Saturday August 22 at 1pm Chris and I had the most amazing thing happen for our little family. We were sealed as husband and wife for time and all eternity. Words can not describe my joy in seeing my wonderful husband across the altar in the Temple of the Lord, knowing that as we stay true to our covenants to the Lord and true to each other we will be together forever! Shortly thereafter Charly Brooke was brought into the room in her sweet little white dress and she and our future children were sealed to us, to be with us in our family forever. What a joy! Our children are now ours and will be in the next life as well. What an amazing promise...as a parent the comfort of knowing that my children are mine even, Heaven forbid, in death is such an awesome blessing. I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us that enables us to partake of these amazing blessings. My heart is full.

When we walked out of the temple Charly saw Hannah and this was her reaction!

My family that was able to be there. We love you all and we missed everyone else! Truthfully...I don't think the Lovett clan will fit in the big sealing room at the Lubbock Temple anymore..isn't that great!!!

My whole family! We are missing the 3 other grandbabies...at the sitter's.

Charly Brooke and her craziness!!!

Our little darling is turning into quite the character! She seriously cracks us up daily with her crazy antics...for instance.... today I went in to C's room to get her from her morning nap and this is what I found. Her cousin Madi let C borrow her old Dora tent and Charly somehow figured out how to pull it into her crib! She was so proud of herself but obviously ready to get up!
Instance #2 : Yesterday Charly came running into the kitchen with her Easter basket on her head like a bell hop. She was so pleased with herself that she kept it on running around in circles for about 10 minutes. Nut.
So we got some amazing corn from a truck on the side of the road. This is Charly's first experience eating corn on the cob all by herself. As you can see she is enjoying it. I love it that our little girl loves her veggies! She also ate a plate of baked squash...nice!

Happy July 4th everyone! I know...it's a little late but our angel looked SO sweet and grown up in her sweet little dress. Thanks to all who have served our blessed country.

Kim, my sis-in-law's Mom, gave Charly her first haircut and she did so well!!

Chris got a jeep a few months ago and on a beautiful afternoon we took the top off. We took Charly for a ride and she loved it!!! She walks to the jeep every time we go to the garage to get in the car to leave!

AGAIN!!! Can you believe it!

So in April Charly and I went to Dallas, Irving to be exact, to spend some time with Katie and Eliott, and Baby Max. We had so much fun! E and C are still learning to play and share with others and that was truly entertaining to watch them! We went to the Dallas Arboretum and had a wonderful day there. The kids got their faces painted and played their little hearts out.

We were trying to do a cutesy little "look at that" picture...didn't really turn out the way we wanted....ah well.

1 fish 2 fish red fish blue fish
!

We had to stop and smell the flowers... Charly has a great grimace when she smells things!

The kids eating their bananas...stuffing their sweet little faces more like!

So maybe I've been putting this off???

Well folks...it's been a measly 9 months since I've posted anything so here ya go! Charly is 16 months old now, running everywhere and the biggest ham there ever was! She's a blast! We bought a house in December and have loved being home owners! (apparently i also love exclamation points!!) You can see parts of the house in the back grounds of a few pictures. When we finally get more pics on the walls and things how we want them I'll put some real ones up.

"How DARE you!!!"

Pope Charly the Diaper Baby!

Giving Popi Heath kisses!

Walking with Mimi

Charly and I went up to see Chris's parents for 5 days 2 weeks ago. We had a fantastic time and got to spend some quality time with Mimi and Popi!

Charly had her first busted nose a few weeks ago. I tried to take some pics of it...it bled and bruised up really nice. Poor baby!!

Random 2 weeks ago. C likes to mess with her hairs while she's eating, thus getting food all over it! And it's so wispy that it's always funny!

This is at my sis-in-law's sisters wedding...she actually let me do her hair and she didn't pull it out for like 3 hours! Anyone have any ideas on how to get her to leave her hair alone??

This is Easter Sunday 2009. She got pretty into the egg hunting...as you can see in the top picture!

The following video is Charly wearing her bucket on her head. It's the funniest thing ever...especially when she walks into the wall. I hope to catch some of that soon. And sorry it's sideways..I'm dum.
