Random pics of our Sweet Girl!

So...this post is for Megan. Yes, that's right. You wanted pics and stuff? Here ya go!!!

These are random pics of Charly Brooke. She's just over 7 months old and is a little doll! She's sitting up, rolling all over the place but not crawling yet. Not sure why but whatever...she'll get there right??? Life is good for us right now. Chris is still with Discount Tire and seems to enjoy it...though it makes him tired. Ha...."tire-d" ...I'm so funny....
Charly had just woken up and was chillin' with Daddy....she loves him!!! (6 months)

So I went in to check on Charly during her nap a few weeks ago. She'd fallen asleep with her arm wrapped through her crib with her head pressed into it. She's a little wierdo! She wiggles all over the crib and I feel bad when she does stuff like this...or wiggling up into the corner and not being able to get back out. Silly girl!!

Chris and I at an Amarillo Dillas baseball game. One of the few nights we've been out without Charly. We had a great time with Jeremiah and Amber, Chris's brother and his wife.
Sweet girl! In Glorietta New Mexico at the Lorraine and Ivan Crockett family reunion. She was playin with her Mimi's scarf. (August- 6 1/2 months old)

She was being a little sassy for this one!!! (not sure where she gets the sass!)

We went to Albuquerque New Mexico the weekend of Aug 15th to take my in-laws to the airport. We made a weekend of it and ya know what??? Albuquerque is a cool city! I had no idea. We went to Old Town and visited the shops and the 300 year old church by the town square. Very cool. We're going back in 2 weeks!

Another sleeping pic...she cuddles up with her pony. So sweet!

2 weeks ago we had some slightly chilly and rainy weather...she wasn't too impressed with the hood.

Aunt Bekah and Uncle Jim gave Charly a very sweet little dress that had this matching handkercheif thing. It was so stinkin' cute and fun to just play with, it was great to squish her little cheeks out. And I loved it with her overalls!!!

Our sweet bright eyed baby girl...she is SO fun! You can't see them very well but her shoes are little pink camo high-tops. heh

Ok, there are some new pics and updates, sorta, on our life!! We go to Albuquerque in 2 weeks for the company annual and it's our first weekend away from this pretty little lady. I'll let y'all know how that goes!

Memories...

So here's the deal...I guess this is a type of tag post. I wanna see what y'all remember!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Oregon Vacation (long one...just so ya know!)

SO!!! Our little Charly took her first plane ride at the end of June. We went to Marcola Oregon, just outside Eugene/Springfield, to see Mimi and Papa Heath. This was the first time they'd met!!! My parents and brother Ben and sister Hannah went with us for the first weekend and then we got to stay for the entire next week. I LOVE visiting up there. They live in the middle of nowhere on 60+ acres and time pretty much stops. AND....the hippy, green, eco-friendly people are truly entertaining :)

First though...we had a craptaculous adventure just getting there! We were scheduled to leave at 3:55. When we got to the airport we were delayed for 2 hours. Well...we waited for the first hour, only to find out they bumped it another hour! The weather was horrid in Dallas and getting worse in Amarillo. So we chilled.

Eventually my family got hungry and Ben left his I-Pod at home. So, because we had 2 hours to leave, they left! Went back to the house and grabbed some dinner. Chris, Charly and I stayed at the airport cuz we'd checked C's carseat. Well...not 30 minutes after they left...A TORNADO HIT THE AIRPORT. That's right folks. A bonafide tornado was headed our way and they evacuated us.....to the cement basement room things. It sucked. It was hot, especially with around 300 people in it. They didn't make us go all the way underground which was good cuz it was blazing hot. Charly was fantastic and I even got her to take a nap!

When we went back up top we waited for my family to get back to the airport before we went back through security...since security was like a billion miles long. This was a pic I took outside the security line.

We then had to wait another 2 hours to leave and made it to Portland at midnight....then we had to get our rental and drive for 2 hours. It sucked for real. We slept in a bit then headed to Newport. A fantastic coast town with fun shops and Mo's Tavern..the best clam chowder ever! Except I don't like clam chowder....but they do have amazing chili. Yum!! We ate, spent money..and walked the beach.....then fell asleep on the drive home cuz we were all exhausted
Newport and the Beach

My sweet father-in-law Lew walked in the surf with Hannah looking for shells and sea creatures...I sure do love him!! The other is of my parents...they're so cute!! For the record....it was cold. The water was FREEZING. They're all nuts.

So the boys asked me to take a pic of them. A pic of them being "contemplative." Nerds

Without further adieu....Benjamin Brock Lovett and Christopher Alan Heath....looking to the future, pondering their fortunes. Blah...hah!

We like our baby girl...ALOT!!!
Apparently all the men in her life do!!!

Her Grandpa Lovett and Papa Heath adore her little face...

Who wouldn't!!! Hee!

Chillin' in Eugene and at the house....so nice!

Chris and I after the Saturday Market... Ben was able to get her to sleep!!
we were exhausted!

Mimi feeding baby girl!!! Charly loves to be read to :)
This is the view from the front porch of my in-laws. How sweet is that!!!

My fam...not the greatest picture of us but whatever. Charly playing with her daddy!
So, while we were up there we visited the coast a few times ~ once with my family then another part later after they left. We were able to see Chris's great Aunt and Uncle, Bud & Shirley. They are a blast!!! Following are pics of the coast near Devil's Churn and at Devil's Churn.

A lighthouse on the way to Devil's Churn....................this is Devil's Churn!

We got a new camera while on vacation...Chris played with it .... alot.
So we went to Northern Cali while we were there too...Lew's Mom and Step-Dad live in Scott Valley. We were worried about the air quality because of the fires. We got some awesome pics of the smoke coming over the mountains as we were leaving.
We decided to spend our last day in Portland. So on Saturday we drove up, stopped at the outlets of course and spent the evening by the river. It was beautiful!!

Basically the whole trip was great. We needed to get away and just hang out together. Chris and I enjoyed each other and Mimi and Papa spent quality time with Charly girl. They were a huge help at night....Pop even took her after we got in from Cali and she was wide away at 2 am...he stayed up with her til she fell back to sleep at 4!! What a guy! Must be where his son gets it ;)

Charly was pretty much perfect the entire day of flying. More than one person commented on her wonderful traveling skills...and her sweet face of course! We made it home and left 36 hours later for my family reunion...more on that later!!!

WE LOVE BABY FOOD!!

WOW!! Our Charly girl was definitely ready for the baby foods. We started out with Sweet Potatoes and she didn't even make a face...a mess....but no face, just sucked it down!! We visited her Mimi & Papa Heath for the first time and since they've missed the the 1st 5 months of her life we decided to let Mimi introduce her first foods. It was a pretty cool thing. My folks and youngest 2 siblings went with us for a visit for a few days so both sets of grandparents were present. Looks like she loves food as much as her mama...oh dear! We stripped her down to her diaper so her cute outfit wouldn't get ruined. I know it means she's getting bigger but it's so fun giving her food! We've almost gone through the vegtables and will start on fruit next. Bananas I think....She is so much fun!!!
